THE THINK PINK FOUNDATION: ENABLING A BETTER JOURNEY THROUGH BREAST CANCER

The Think Pink Foundation is an independent, volunteer-based charity whose mission is to enable a better journey through breast cancer for anyone affected by a diagnosis.

As the “helping hand” in our logo indicates, we do this by providing a comprehensive range of emotional, practical and physical support services, delivered at and via our unique state of the art, non-clinical wellness facility called The Living Centre.

At The Living Centre, the focus is wellness rather than illness. Our goal is to support and empower our clients by providing emotional, practical, educational and physical programs and services. Since it’s opening in 2010, The Living Centre, supported over 4,000 families affected by breast cancer - both in person and more recently, online via Zoom.

Most importantly, all our services are provided free of charge without referral, and we accept clients from any treatment centre and at any stage of their journey - from initial diagnosis through treatment and into survivorship.

The breast cancer journey is a difficult one for anyone to experience - even with great wealth, access to good medical care and the full support of family and friends. The COVID pandemic has increased the already considerable challenges faced by people going through the breast cancer journey.

In response to the ongoing restrictions imposed, our dedicated Living Centre Team has successfully adapted, supplemented and migrated its support services previously offered directly through The Living Centre, to an online platform.

Since that transition, the number of women and men accessing our services has increased dramatically and our geographic reach has also expanded considerably, proving that our methodology can be expanded nationally and without geographic limitation.
