Soul Origin donates 21,000 meals

Soul Origin Donates over 21,000 bowls of Soup to OzHarvest!

Soul Origin’s philosophy is that everyone deserves to eat fresh nutritious food every day and an issue they feel very passionately about is supporting those experiencing food insecurity across Australia. Food insecurity continues to be an ongoing challenge for many. When the NSW lockdown was further extended, and with so many Australians already doing it tough, it only reaffirmed to the company that it was time to act.

The company partnered with OzHarvest, Australia’s leading food rescue charity, whose purpose to “Nourish Our Country” resonated deeply with Soul Origin and their overall vision, leading to their food donation of more than 6,400kgs of soup which equates to 21,312 bowls of Soup. Adam Neill, the COO of Soul Origin hopes that this donation will support many families during this hard time. He said;

“Right now everyone is doing it tough and we are happy to be able to support our local communities in any way”

Richard Watson, OzHarvest NSW State Manager said:

“Right now, more people than ever are experiencing food insecurity, many for the first time in their lives. This incredible donation from Soul Origin means OzHarvest can deliver an additional 21,312 meals to people in need across Greater Sydney. It’s truly heart-warming to see the joy, gratitude and relief on people’s faces when we are able to provide them with ready-made, delicious soups to nourish them and their families. A huge thanks goes to Soul Origin for their amazing support.”
